Mark Long, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Before starting his own company, Mark was Vice President of Development and Construction at a real estate developer in the Seattle area, where he oversaw the entire development process, from acquiring land and designing projects to managing construction. Prior to that, he worked for some incredible architects: Kohn Pedersen Fox; Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates; Paik Architecture; and Sage and Coombe Architects. His experience includes NY icons, such as One Vanderbilt tower, the Hudson Yards development, and a luxury residential mid-rise building in Chelsea, Manhattan, and many other projects.

His interest in architecture began early. Mark’s father is a carpenter who introduced construction and Midwestern craftsmanship to Mark at an early age. That interest ultimately led him to study architecture at Kansas State University and is now a registered architect in both New York and Washington State.

 

Mark also gained extensive fabrication experience prior to pursuing a career in architecture while working as a mechanic at both The Boeing Company and Cessna Aircraft Company.
